Ukrainian Radiation Protection Institute (RPI) of the Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine was established in 1995 as a Private Joint Stock Company by Dr. Physics and Mathematics, Professor Illya Likhtarov. Over this time the RPI has developed into a reputable research and consultancy center for:

• radiation protection;
• development of safety standards, requirements, and quantitative criteria;
• radiological health hazard assessments;
• industrial and occupational radiation hygiene and health risk studies;
• dosimetry, environmental, and individual monitoring.

The core national and international regulations have been drafted by members of the RPI team and the various support and services have been provided to the national and international bodies, authorities, industries, and facilities.
